This tenugui features designs of traditional lucky charms — “Ōiri (大入り)” and the Maneki-neko, the beckoning cat.

“Ōiri” means “full house,” celebrating good fortune and many happy customers.
The Maneki-neko also invites luck and prosperity, welcoming people and good business alike.

In the old days, such lucky signs might have been seen on the pillars of theaters or traditional restaurants — a cheerful wish for success and good crowds.
